Departments

WASH (Water, Hygiene and Sanitation) Department

WASH (Water, Hygiene and Sanitation) Department

Working in collaboration with the Central African Ministry of Health, WHO and UNICEF, responding to the water crisis in Haut-Mbomou Prefecture and the hygiene and sanitation crisis in Ombella-M'Poko Prefecture, Central African Republic. Only 23% of Central Africans have access to piped water, and 77% suffer from a serious water-pollution crisis that has caused widespread water-borne disease — made worse by recent unrest in the country. We have expanded this department to Far North Cameroon and Chad, which face the same crisis.

Economy Empowerment Department

Economy Empowerment Department

Supports vulnerable households — especially women, youth and displaced families — to build sustainable livelihoods through vocational training, savings groups, micro-enterprise support and cash-for-work opportunities. We work with communities to restore dignity, reduce dependency on aid and create pathways out of poverty through skills, small-business development and market linkages.

Social Cohesion Department

Social Cohesion Department

Works to strengthen peaceful coexistence and solidarity between displaced, returned and host communities. Through community dialogue, peacebuilding committees, interfaith and intercommunity engagement, and joint community projects, we address tensions before they escalate, rebuild trust after crisis and ensure that every group — regardless of origin, faith or status — participates fully in the development of their community.
